Good OR Bad for Tots In Mind Cozy Crib Tent
Good Product-I ordered this product because my 2 year old daughter was climbing out of bed every night and it took my husband and I hours to get her to finally go to sleep. I was told about this from a friend, and despite the bad reviews I bought it. It works great, the only issue I have way, it didn't fit my crib the correct way. I have a crib that the front drops down and the back comes up higher than the front. It looks like it is meant only for cribs that all sides are even. I got it to work and she is doing great with it, but thats my only issue. I've officially been using the crib tent for the last 4 months and I just want to confess that I wish I would have invented this wonderful idea. How spectacular!!!! My son was crawling out of his crib at 18 months and rarely slept through the night before that. He was always losing his binky out of the crib and for other unknown reasons he wasn't good at sleeping through the night. The first night that I put him in his crib tent he slept through the night and has been doing considerablly better since. I haven't had any problems with any of the product (no zipper malfunctions, or material rips, etc.) as noted by other users. Another plus to the product is that the binky always stays in the crib now and never falls out. It seriously was a hard $50 to swallow for the product, but when a child crawls out of his bed continuously at naptime and bedtime it was worth every penny to overnight it too!
Bad design and quality-The design of this tent could be greatly improved, lengthening the velcro straps on the sides could greatly improve the ability of this to work on different cribs. Our crib is taller in the back then in the front but we were able to rig it to make it work. This is a great idea and we need it as my 16 month old started crawling out of his crib which is dangerous and makes napping impossible. The tent when working, solved this problem. The zipper has broken several times, luckily my husband can fix almost anything and has repaired it each time. The second time the zipper head came completely off, which couldn't be fixed so now we have to zip it up using our fingers. The zipper is loud, but doesn't bother my kiddo at all. You do have to squeeze the two sides together while zipping or the strain is too much and the zipper will split. Amazon will not exchange it as they say there is none in stock, but when I look it says there are 9 in stock but I don't see any way of exchanging the item. Unfortunately I have to keep it as my son is not ready to be in a big boy bed yet...he would never sleep! So like many other reviewers have said, it you want to make a million manufacture a better designed tent!
